Jesus not only has the power to change you life, He has the power to change the way you look at life.
When the Word (God) became flesh in Jesus Christ that was the complete, sufficient, once for all revelation of God in His glory, in His grace, and in truth for all of humanity for all time.
In the moment we find ourselves in the presence of God in all His holiness, we must recognize not only the holiness of God, but our own lack of holiness.
What are the implications when we fail to realize and acknowledge the holiness of God? We need a fresh encounter with the holiness of God if we are to be fully committed to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
While this aspect of God (The Trinity) may be difficult to understand, it is important because it impacts and is interconnected to all the other foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.
God is Infinite and Sovereign. If we truly believe this how should if influence and impact our daily lives?
Over the next year and more I will be sharing with you what I believe to be truth from God’s Word, the Bible. It is important the followers of Jesus Christ know what they believe and why they believe it if they are to be fully committed to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom and “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15 – NIV). This message is an introduction to the theme focus.
There are many options being made available in spiritual circles these days for people to chose from. Various religions are competing for people’s allegiance. Even within Christendom there are many denominations declaring their views about the interpretation of Scriptures. How do we know who to listen to and what to believe? Who is right and who is wrong?
Over the next year and more I will be sharing with you what I believe to be truth from God’s Word, the Bible. It is important the followers of Jesus Christ know what they believe and why they believe it if they are to be fully committed to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom and “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15 – NIV).
We will be looking at the basic foundations of the Christian faith as articulated in the Articles Of Faith for the Church of the Nazarene. It is may hope that we will have a better understanding of what we believe and why we believe by the time we get to the end of this theme focus.
